Since becoming a Vet, Shawn has seen many enhancements in the technology of veterinary medicine. Things such as digital radiography, digital ultrasound and the use of less invasive procedures such as video endoscopy. Many changes have occured right here at the clinic. Some of them he instigated, such as incorporating a paperless record keeping system and holding regular staff meetings.
Shawn admits that time and additional training in advanced small animal medicine and surgery have made him more confident in his ability to diagnose and treat patients. It has also made him more aware of the value of continued education.
In his spare time, Shawn enjoys fly fishing, public speaking, skiing and spending sunday evenings with his wife, three kids, and two dogs. He also enjoys spending time at Redmond Community Church, where he is an elder and also leads several small prayer groups.
