Mary Lou's smiling face has been greeting our clients since 1994. Having grown up in Central Oregon, many of those clients are already well known to Mary Lou. Although she thinks that our clients at Redmond Vet are the best, she says her favorite part about working at the front desk is getting to see all the animals that come in. She loves all of the animals, but dogs are her all time favorite. Especially Yellow Labs since they remind her of "Mallard". He was a once in a lifetime, devoted pet who due to Mary Lou's devotion, lived to be almost 14 years old.
Mary Lou remembers a time when our clients and animals had a difficult time physically "coming in" to the clinic. That was during RVC's remodel in 1996 when everything and everyone was discombobulated during the construction. Another change that Mary Lou has been involved with is the new interviewing process for our receptionists. However, she admits that the biggest change is her self transformation, for example, her blood pressure doesn't become elevated anymore when the clinic makes major changes.
Currently, her pride and joy is her 2 1/2 year old grandson. She likes to spend as much time as possible with him. She also enjoys water skiing, swimming, rafting, walking and family time with her husband and two adult children.
